Carpet Color

Because it covers so much living area, carpet is the groundwork of your room’s décor. It could be a neutral color, blending in with fabrics along with other surfaces; or perhaps it can be a radiant centerpiece of the room, making a statement that reflects your personal style.

The selection of carpet color is a very personal choice. Carpet comes in almost every color, design, and texture you can imagine. You will need to pick a color that combines your decorative elements and creates the atmosphere you desire. Ever popular beige or light tan carpet can easily make a place look spacious; but for a bolder statement, choose a typical color in your fixtures and draperies. Choose a carpet having a similar hue. Environmental colors, like blues, deep greens, rosy quartz, and stony neutrals have become increasingly popular.

Warm colors can turn up the warmth in a room which is lacking in light, although cool greens and blues have a very calming impact. Light colors help make the space seem bigger; darker colors provide coziness. Additionally, there are practical considerations in color selection. New blemish and soil proof technology makes the current lighter carpet color much simpler to clean up, enabling a lot more decorating possibilities. Medium and darker colors, tweeds, and textures will help disguise typical dirt in your space's high traffic areas.
