I’m pretty much sure that a lot of us had already whined about candle wax spilled over our precious and expensive carpets. Why? Because it almost took us forever to buy it and for some careless candle wax incident, it will take us another forever to completely remove it. But worry no more because with these three easy steps, those annoying candle wax will vanish like they were never been there before.
When you see candle wax dropped on your carpet, your initial reaction is definitely to scream on top of your lungs and curse whoever caused the candle wax incident to happen. The first step of course is to not panic. There's a simple remedy to this problem. But, timing is crucial in this particular situation or else the wax could shore up into a solid mass and may even completely glue itself towards the fibers in the rug. As soon as this takes place it is quite tough to get rid of it thus be sure you don't allow it to fully harden when possible.
Begin with scraping as many wax out of the carpet as you possibly can, using a spoon. You may work with a butter knife or perhaps a putty knife in case you have one around. Obtain as much of it scraped off as you can. Then you'll have to vacuum the other debris. You'll then want to have a clean fabric, paper towel, or maybe a paper bag and put it above the wax. This is when your flat iron comes into play, which you'll run over the bag, fabric, or paper towel. You may also use a hair dryer here when necessary. This liquifies the wax and allows it to transfer on the paper. Work with a new paper bag as frequently as necessary up until you obtain all the wax. This may take some time.
Soon after, place a piece of ice over a wax to freeze it, leaving them there for a moment. This will solidify the wax sufficient to break it down and obtain more from it.
After the wax has gone, often there is the possibility that you could see a faint oily mark. Dry cleaning solvent or proprietary carpet cleaner should complete the task. Always test it first over a small area that isn't likely to be noticed to check that it's best suited for your carpet.
Here is wishing that you'll never be facing the problem but, should you be, I hope these guide will provide you with a couple of pointers about how to get candle wax out of carpet.
